Dr. Justin Shewell completed his undergraduate training in social work (BA/BSW) at McDaniel College, Summa Cum Laude, and graduated with a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Maryland. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and holds an active license in Georgia, where he is certified as a Qualified Clinical Social Work Supervisor. Employed by the Baltimore City Public School System, he was a school-based clinician and served on child study teams. Justin earned his Master’s degree (M.S.) and Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology. He completed a full-time 2000 hour American Psychological Association approved internship in clinical psychology in a comprehensive community mental health center in Denver, Colorado, where he provided psychological evaluations and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical experience includes services provided in a school system, college counseling center, community mental health centers, long-term residential treatment facility, and a hospital.
